Kam Cares Foundation seeks to equip children from under-served communities in Hampton Roads and Seattle areas with educational, health, and wellness tools and resources to position students for greater academic success.

Recognizing that economic inequality is often linked to the academic achievement gap, Kam Cares Foundation delivers services and programs based on the M3 concept – promoting education; health and wellness; and individual and community uplift through Motivation, Mentorship, and Means.

Motivation:
“In the new economy, information, education, and motivation are everything.” – William J. Clinton

Lack of motivation and chronic disengagement in the educational process is an ongoing issue in school systems across the country.  Recent studies have shown that incentive programs help to keep students motivated. Through academic performance-based programs, such as iAchieve, Kam Cares Foundation rewards students for scholastic achievement to acknowledge, celebrate and incentivize their hard work in the classroom.

Mentorship:
“If you cannot see where you are going, ask someone who has been there before.” – J. Loren Norris

As a product of a single parent home with little financial resources, Kam Chancellor provides students with a realistic true and realistic example of success.  His journey is one that is relatable for all children – regardless of race or socioeconomic background.  Through events, programs, and even social media, Kam shares his story — encouraging  students and athletes to aspire to greatness despite challenges that confront them daily.

Means:
“We cannot expect children to achieve their full potential without equipping them with the tools to do so.” – Kam Chancellor
