The Healthcare Collaborative food drive was a friendly competition between members of the Norfolk Healthcare Collaborative to see who could raise the most food during a critical period of time — the summer months.  Employees, visitors and friends of each team brought in food donations.  At the end of each team’s food drive, the Foodbank of SEVA sent a truck to collect the donations and weigh the total food collected.  The goal was to raise awareness about food insecurity and help those in need!

7,990 lbs. of food = 6,659 meals for the hungry

Food Drive Results:

1st) Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital

 3,143 lbs. = 2,619 meals

2nd) NDPH/EVMS/City of Norfolk

2,576 lbs. = 2,147 meals

3rd) Sentara Leigh & Sentara Norfolk General

1,968 lbs. = 1,640 meals

4th) DePaul Medical Center

303 lbs. = 253 meals
